The Development Process and Future Trend of Marine Protected Areas in Yangtze River Delta Based on the Integration Strategy

  • 摘要: 长江三角洲区域是中国生态文明建设的战略要地,也是中国构建陆海生态安全格局、实现可持续发展的核心示范区。为了评估长三角海洋生态空间的安全格局,本文梳理了长三角区域已经建设的各类型海洋保护地,回顾并评估了该区域海洋保护地的建设效果。该区域存在海洋保护对象难以得到有效保护、区域可持续发展受到海洋多重生态灾害威胁、珍稀濒危海洋生物生存现状与生境条件均不乐观等问题。建议长三角海洋保护地亟待开展自然保护地科学体系构建、实现保护区网络连通、建设一体化管理体制。

     

    Abstract: Yangtze River Delta region is not only a strategic place for ecological civilization construction in China, but also a core demonstration area for the construction of terrestrial and marine ecological security framework and realization of sustainable development. In order to evaluate the security framework of marine ecological space in Yangtze River Delta, various types of existing Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) were investigated through review and evaluation of the performance of MPAs in the region. Three key challenges faced by the region are: the target species/habitats for protection are difficult to be effectively protected, the sustainable development of the region is threatened by multiple marine ecological disasters, and the survival status and habitat conditions of some endangered marine species are not optimistic. The authors suggest that the region needs to construct a scientific system of MPAs to improve the network connectivity of MPAs and build an integrated management system.
