Abstract:
【Objectives】In remote forest areas without network signal coverage, it has been a technical problem to realize the automatic collection of forest pest monitoring data. To solve the problem of data transmission in remote forest areas, starting from the actual needs of forestry pest monitoring and control at the grassroots level, research on forest pest monitoring data transmission based on Beidou short message communication technology was carried out. 【Methods】In this paper, the system adopted the "terminal + platform" mode to design related hardware and software and carried out the design of data compression, data subcontracting, and data packet loss retransmission mechanism given the limited communication capacity of Beidou short message and the problems of packet loss. 【Results】After testing in the natural protected areas, the research results showed that the data transmission success rate of the system could remain above 99%, which verified that the system could be used as a reliable means of monitoring and warning of forest insect situations in communication blind districts. 【Conclusions】This system can effectively realize the remote transmission of forest pest monitoring data and ensure the timeliness of data. It is of great significance and value to improve forest pest control and protect forest resources and the ecological environment.
