Abstract:
Drawing on national park literature from both domestic and international sources, as well as flagship species conservation research, this paper summarized relevant research contents and hotspots in three areas: institutional mechanism construction, habitat conservation and construction, and the concept of human-animal symbiosis, as well as research progress in national parks. From the perspective of in situ conservation and protection, this paper integratedoverall protection and local construction, protection and preservation of traditional and modern platforms, public and professional protection, conventional protection, and scientific construction, etc. Additionally, the paper explored the future of flagship species protection in China’s national parks, emphasizing four key areas: firstly, the construction of a natural protected area system; secondly, the monitoring of protection management facilities and effectiveness; thirdly, the need to strengthen research on genetic diversity and the implementation of the rearing and release policy; and fourthly, the importance of introducing large and medium-sized carnivores to ensure the integrity of the food chain, providing a reference for flagship species conservation in China’s national parks.
