Abstract:
Natural protection is the most important and essential part of the natural ecological space. It is an important carrier of the national soft power and national image. Currently there is no national park in Guangxi. The construction and development of the natural protection system based on nature reserves and natural parks are at the exploratory stage. The management intensity, management mode, and effect evaluation of the nature reserves and natural parks are different. The differences in spatial distribution between the two has been unclear. Using GIS as the spatial analysis tool, the methods of the nearest neighbor index, geographical concentration index, spatial density analysis, and distance from the highway, through data quantification, this paper compared and analyzed the spatial quantity, type distribution, grade distribution and accessibility differences of 78 nature reserves and 145 nature parks. The paper aimed to reveal different levels spatial relationship and distribution characteristics of different types of nature reserves. At the same time, the nature reserves and natural parks were associated with the ecological geographical units, traffic trunk lines, node city distribution, and class scenic spots in Guangxi, and 10 representative national park pilots and 10 ecotourism utilization hotspots were identified to provide valuable scientific references for the development of nature reserves in Guangxi.
