Abstract:
With the increase of demand for forest tourism, research on the tourists’ experiences and spatial differences of national forest parks is beneficial to the sustainable development and management of forest tourism. Data was collected from online travel dairies posted by tourists, which includes about 1.46 million words of travel diaries from 32 national forest parks in 7 regions of China, including North, Northeast, Northwest, Central, East, Southwest, and South. Word frequency analysis by the software NVivo 12 indicated that: The beautiful natural landscape is the most impressive experience for tourists; The tourism facilities and services are also important aspects of tourist experience; eco-tourism activities such as hiking and photography are important contents of the forest park tourist experience. In addition to these common tourist experiences, the differences of tourist experience of national forest parks in different regions include the following points: 1) The difference in specific natural landscapes between the north and the south is obvious due to different natural environment; 2) The national forest parks in the south make the integration of natural and human elements easier to be perceived. The integration of different industries makes the experience more diverse.
