Abstract:
633 papers on dark night studies collected from Web of Science (WoS) and CNKI were used to analyze institutional and national cooperation networks, Keywords interval analysis with the strongest citation bursts and timeline review. It was found that the research on global dark night protection can be divided into two stages: the stable stage (1999-2011) and the rapid stage (2011-2020). The research fields include dark night park, brightness measurement, dark night protection and light pollution. The research is characterized as equal attention to international cooperation and localization, attention to the attractiveness of dark night resources, emphasis on the interaction between people and the dark night sky. It is suggested that the construction of night parks in China should be combined with ecological planning and environmental education, sustainable tourism and community development, spatial approach and procedural approach. The research highlighted that the construction of the protected areas system represented by national parks needs to pay attention to the protection of intangible resources such as starry night sky. The planning and construction of dark sky park is an effective way to achieve the dark night protection of protected areas. The construction of dark sky park should be comprehensively considered in terms of knowledge accumulation, construction content, construction methods and construction approaches.
